In 1967, young Dalby boy Greg Stimson started a plumbing apprenticeship… and the rest, as they say, is history.
The business Greg joined, then called ‘Thornton and Hurlock’, had been around since the late 1950s. Over time it’s evolved to become Stimson Plumbing and Building Maintenance. In recent years, we’ve expanded into cabinetry and joinery to complement our existing domestic and commercial plumbing service.
We are now embarking on the next exciting chapter with Greg and wife Glenda retiring as business owners.
It’s not been an overnight decision. For the last 14 years, Greg and Glenda have been transitioning the business to the next generation with son Damian joining the partnership in 2003 and daughter Jody Monaghan becoming a partner in 2006. The brother and sister team have taken the reins to drive the business forward while holding firm to the business’ foundations – hard work, customer focus with a down-to-earth approach.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our loyal
customers and suppliers for your support. Most of all we wish to
thank our team. Plumbing and building maintenance isn’t always the
prettiest of professions, some days we have to wade through some pretty
awful stuff to solve a problem or provide a modern convenience but the reward is so great when we see the relief and joy of a customer.
MEET OUR TEAM
Supporting the directors of the business is a great team of plumbers, apprentices and office personnel.
