In 1967, young Dalby boy Greg Stimson started a plumbing apprenticeship… and the rest, as they say, is history.

The business Greg joined, then called ‘Thornton and Hurlock’, had been around since the late 1950s. Over time it’s evolved to become Stimson Plumbing and Building Maintenance. Damian (Greg's son) joined the business in 2003 & Jody (Greg's eldest daughter) joined in 2006.

Added Cabinetry & Joinery to our services

We are now embarking on the next exciting chapter with Greg and wife Glenda retiring as business owners.
It’s not been an overnight decision. For the last 14 years, Greg and Glenda have been transitioning the business to the next generation with son Damian joining the partnership in 2003 and daughter Jody becoming a partner in 2006. The brother and sister team have taken the reins to drive the business forward while holding firm to the business’ foundations – hard work, customer focus with a down-to-earth approach.

Added Carpentry to our services

Damian has stepped away to pursue other interested.  Jody and husband Rankin Monaghan have now taken on the full business.  With plans to expand our services to the community.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our loyal customers and suppliers for your support.
Also, our amazing team, plumbing and building maintenance isn’t always the prettiest of professions, some days we have to wade through some pretty awful stuff to solve a problem or provide a modern convenience but the reward is seeing the relief and joy of a customers.

Supporting the directors of the business is a great team of trades people, apprentices and office personnel.
