1967
Young Dalby boy, Greg Stimson, started his plumbing apprenticeship in 1967… and the rest, as they say, is history. The business Greg joined, then called ‘Thornton and Hurlock’, had been around since the late 1950s. Over time it evolved to become Stimson Plumbing.
2003
After many years of Greg owning Stimson Plumbing his son, Damian joined the team as business partner & Senior Plumber/Gas fitter
in 2003. Greg's eldest daughter, Jody followed not long after in 2006 & became Directing Manager overseeing the
business.
2016
We were awarded Dalby Camber of Commerce's, Small Business of the Year.
2017
Cabinetry & Joinery was added in 2017 to expand our services, making us Dalby's first multi-trade business. This addition
included a name change to the now known, Stimson Plumbing & Building Maintenance.
Awarded Dalby Camber of Commerce's, Small Business of the Year for the second time.
Embarking on their next exciting chapter, Greg & wife Glenda retired as business owners & transitioned the ownership onto
the next generation. This brother & sister team have taken the reins & driven the business forward while holding firm
to the same foundations of honest hard work, customer focused & a down-to-earth approach.
Expanding yet again, we added Carpentry to the array of trades & services provided to Dalby & the surrounding regions.
In 2022 Damian stepped away from plumbing to expand his career aspects in earth moving.
Jody & husband Rankin Monaghan taking over the full business with intentions to expand our services within the
community.
2023
Growth in the Cabinetry & Joinery section of the business has facilitated the launch of its own trading name Freestyle Cabinets.
